Najlaa’s journey began as a refugee—originally from Eritrea, born in Sudan, raised in Saudi Arabia, and settling in Egypt at the age of 14. These experiences have deeply shaped her understanding of displacement, resilience, and the challenges faced by vulnerable populations. Today, she draws on her lived experience and professional expertise to empower others in the humanitarian field.

Through her work, Najlaa combines a unique cultural perspective with over 8 years of hands-on experience in refugee advocacy, mental health support, and program management. Her journey from refugee to humanitarian leader fuels her passion for helping others navigate complex challenges, build impactful programs, and lead with empathy and purpose.
